High dose magnesium helps relieve carb face

I have to take short sharp doses to get an effect, e.g. 2x200mg magnesium taurate. It reduces the water retention commonly known as “carb face” in me.

It is not a cure, but there is definite relief. Sometimes even higher doses produce better results, but then you have to worry about reaching bowel tolerance.

 

Try it for yourself and leave a comment if it helps. Also please speculate as to the biological reasons this works.
